St. Paul, MN, Stucco Project

The homeowners of this St. Paul, Minnesota, stucco home contacted Foley Exteriors to discuss a major exteriors renovation. On the existing exterior, there were some areas of siding, while the rest of the home was stucco. The homeowners wanted stucco on the entire home, so we first needed to remove the siding from these areas in order to install stucco. The existing stucco on the home had been painted, so we also needed to sandblast the home in order to remove this paint to prepare for the new stucco finish. The homeowners also wanted a few windows replaced with new windows, some trim work to repair and replace some rotten wood, and also new decks installed on the rear of the home. Our carpenter worked closely with the homeowners to complete these aspects of the project.
We removed the siding from the peak on the front of the home, from the sides of the dormers that faced the front of the home, and from the entire dormer on the rear of the home. We installed new stucco to all of these areas, and our carpenter replaced the trim to match the rest of the trim on the home. We installed new stone around the arched front door, to enhance the historic look of the home. There were several areas on the home and also a detached garage that needed some stucco repair, so that was completed to ensure the longevity of the new stucco.
Once the repairs were completed and the new windows, deck, and trim were finished, we returned to apply a new stucco finish in an updated trowel texture. The homeowners chose the stucco color warm gray. The completed exterior renovation looks amazing, and greatly enhances the value of the property in addition to the homeowners’ enjoyment of their beautiful family home.
